Q. Can I see a comparison of photographs side by side?
A. Yes. Click here to view a several photographs side by side in multiple sizes.
Q. Can you convert a specific color photo to a Black & White image?
A. Please refer to our this section for more details
Q. Do you have a photo of ........?
A. Not all of our photos can be found on our website. If there is a specific shot you have in mind, please contact us. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Please keep in mind that custom orders are non-returnable
Q. How long does shipping take and who is the carrier?
A. It takes 1 business days to assemble the photograph and process the order. We then ship all packages via UPS Ground Shipping. Depending on your location within the US, it may take anywhere from 2-4 business days to ship the photo. In total, it will take about about 3-5 business days to receive your package once you place an order.
When the photo is shipped you will be sent an email with a UPS tracking number. In the rare event that a photo is not in stock, the processing time will take at least another 5 business days. If this occurs we will contact you by email.
Please view the map below provided by UPS too see how long it will take to ship to your specific location.

Q. How can I track my package?
A. Once your order is placed, we then process your shipping information using UPS internet shipping online. If you correctly entered your email address at checkout, you will receive an automated email from UPS under the name "QuantumView" and subject "UPS Ship Notification, Tracking Number XXXXX.....".
In this email you will find your shipping information and a tracking number which can be used on UPS.com to find out where your package is in transit.
Q. Can I be sure that my package will arrive safely?
A. In short, there is nothing to worry about. Everyday, we ship out fragile photographs containing glass & frames and therefore we take extra precaution in the preparation of each outgoing package. Each framed photo is wrapped in cardboard with 4 cardboard corners to protect the edges. We then enclose it in bubble wrap and add extra insulation in every box. We have been shipping to customers all around the country for many years now and very rarely receive complaints from customers.
**Note: If for some reason the package does get defected in route to your location, please contact us right away and we will take care of the situation.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. The best way to have a photo shipped internationally, is to contact us and place a phone order. We will then be able to give you a more accurate cost for shipping. Please be aware that the shipping cost will be greater when compared to domestic shipping.
If instead you place an order online, the shipping cost will be incorrect. Our system is unable to give you the correct shipping cost for an order that is being sent outside of the US. When we get your online order, we will then contact you with the correct ground shipping amount. If the new cost to ship is fine with you, we will then go ahead and place the order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Also note that we will ship using USPS rather than UPS for all international orders.
Q. What do I do if I received my UPS package only to find the photograph was damaged in transit?
A. Every photograph we ship out (Framed or Unframed) is packaged safely and securely with cardboard and lots of bubble wrap. However, in some rare occurrences UPS fails to deliver the package properly and the photograph may get damaged (bent matte, broken grass, broken frame) in transit.
If you receive your package and find that the photograph has been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately. I will then re-ship your order same or next day.
We will then contact UPS and decide how to take care of the problem. UPS may or may not decide to pick up the damaged package. You do not have to take the damaged packaged to a UPS store. Everything will be taken care of on our end.
*Please understand that this is not under our control and UPS is responsible for your inconvenience.
Q. Is there a sales tax charge on purchases?
A. Due to Illinois state tax policy, it is necessary to charge sales tax for purchases that are shipped within the state of Illinois. This means if your billing address is in Wisconsin, but you ship to Illinois, you will charged a sales tax. All purchases shipped outside of the state of IL are not charged a sales tax.
A sales tax rate of 9.25% is applied to the subtotal in addition to the shipping costs.
Q. What type of camera & film do you use?
A. Up until 2010 all the Bob Horsch photographs on the site were taken with a Pentax 645 medium format camera using various lenses. In more recent years, Bob has crossed over into digital photography using a Nikon 300S and relies on the following lenses...
• Nikon AF 17mm-50mm 2.8 lense
• Nikon AF 12mm-24mm 1.4 lense
• Nikon AF 70mm-200mm 2.8 lense
Q. What is the image quality of the photos?
A. We guarantee the best image quality in the business. We can assure you the images you view on the computer screen DO NOT do justice to photographs you purchase. Each photo is developed at a professional lab and has a matte finish. Click here to view sample framed photographs hanging on a wall.
All the photos you purchase are photographs and NOT posters. Therefore, you will find better quality, color resolution, and detail in each image.
The enlarged images you see on the computer screen are JPEG images and have been compressed in size from the original. Therefore they have lost some quality, but we have provided the best image possible for online viewing purposes.
Q. How are the matted and/or framed photos put together?
A. Each photo is heat compressed and dry mounted. A double matte consisting of on outer and inner color is then applied to the photo. The matted photo is then put into a high quality, standard steel frame made by Nielsen. Each framed photo is then secured with metal spring clips and a wire is attached to the sides for hanging.
We would like to inform you that each matted photo is framed with the highest quality frames & materials. Each part is designed and produced by Nielsen, the leader and most respected company in the framing industry. We can assure you that the quality, appearance, and low cost will be the same if not better than what you will find at a local frame store.
***Tip: For 20x30 framed photos or framed panoramas we suggest using two metal nail hangers when placing on wall.
Q. Are your photos limited edition?
A. No, the photos are not a limited edition, but each authentic Bob Horsch photograph is signed in gold in the bottom right hand corner of every image. The photographs are not mass produced and a typical print run is between 5 and 10 prints.
